I Know How Many Runs You Scored Last Summer

Imagine the gentlemanly sport of cricket, a lazy Sunday afternoon, Mr Kipling cakes at half time, a civilised group of spectators viewing the match with baited breath. Then comes a vengeful psychopath hell bent on massacring the entire Aussie amateur team in the most gruesome of ways (think wickets impaled down victims’ throats using a cricketbat). Decades of rivalry between England and Australia, incestuous ‘tendencies’, and a lingering (and perhaps excessive) shower scene withMiss Nude Australia all feature in I Know How Many Runs You Scored Last Summer. Do not watch this film expecting Silence ofthe Lambs - it is neither challenging norlogical. But it is a cricket-comedy-slasher – so how can you resist? GJ
