In the early 19th century, Beau Brummell was the most fashionable man in society and the confidante of the Prince Regent. Unfortunately, kings, like film stars and other celebrities, make unreliable best friends, especially when you take liberties. Made for the BBC on location in Bath, Philippa Lowthorpe has concocted an unexpectedly fascinating story about a small but significant portion of local and national history.
