To herald the 50th anniversary of Humphrey Bogart’s death and the publication of Bogie, a major new book about the iconic actor (as if we needed an excuse…), here’s an opportunity to see the wonderful Casablanca on the big screen. Bogart puts in a benchmark performance as Rick Blaine, hoping to survive the war and escape his past, which walks in on him in the shape of Ingrid Bergman. A bittersweet melodrama of torn loyalties, inflected with accents of film noir and wartime thriller, many regard this as perfect cinema.

Author George Perry, contributor to Bogie, will take your questions following the screening CB
