Destricted is the first short film collection of its kind, bringing together sex and art in a series of films created by some of the world’s most provocative artists. Can art be disguised as pornography? Can porn be represented as art or is it something else altogether? The seven films explore the fine line where art and porn intersect and highlight controversial issues about the representation of sexuality in art. The result is a collection of explicit, stimulating, challenging, provocative, strange and sometimes humorous scenarios that leave it up to the viewer to decide.

The screening will be followed by an opportunity to discuss the issues with David Cooke from The British Board of Film Classification and other guests including film critic Mark Kermode (tbc). Destricted complements our Friday 3 November screening of This Film Is Not Yet Rated.
