With: Nicole Kidman, Simon Wiesenthal

Nicole Kidman narrates this powerful tribute to a survivor of the Nazi death camps and one of the heroes of the 20th century. Thanks to Simon Wiesenthal’s dogged devotion to hunting Nazi war criminals over 1,000 were prosecuted. Not universally liked, he was tenacious, purposeful, had (according to contemporaries) a bawdy sense of humour, and was a skilled self-publicist. He held a birthday party at Hitler’s favourite hotel in Vienna - “I want the history of this hotel to read that Simon Wiesenthal held his 90th birthday here with a kosher dinner.” The film features interviews with friends, family and government leaders as well as archive footage and photographs that have never been seen before.
