Kisses

Kisses is one of those films that survives and thrives on word of mouth.Everyone who sees it raves about it, and thus eventually an audience is built,and deservedly so.  Dylan and Kylieare kids in their early teens in working-class Dublin who go on the run one daywhen life at home becomes too much for them. They hitch a ride on a barge(shades of L’Atalante), and findthemselves in the centre of the city, looking for Dylan’s older brother.There’s a compelling soundtrack, featuring Bob Dylan’s music, and a pair ofimpressive performances from the two leads. The story never lapses intosentimentality and, above all, we care about the characters.  PR
