Bath Film Festival 2009
Running Shorts
The Black Gazebo, Green Park Station
Sunday 15 November, 11.00 am - 7.30 pm
FREE
includes: College, Virile Games, Pour un maillot jaune, Positive Ladies Soccer
Our CelluloidGames strand opens with a geographically diverse collection of sporty shorts from a variety of ages and filmmakers, presented in the enigmatic Black Gazebo (enter if you dare – it’s free!) in Green Park Station. Throughout the daywatch Buster Keaton’s bookworm take up sport to impress his sweetheart in College or enjoy a very disturbing game of football in Jan Svankmajer’s VirileGames, an absurdist take on the Tour de France in Claude Lelouch’s Pour un maillot jaune, a documentary from Medécins Sans Frontières Positive Ladies Soccer, plus lots of skateboarding and parkour clips. Bath Spa University music students will provide musical accompaniment to some of the films, so if you are a couch sportsperson who fancies spectating before shopping this is the perfect chance. CB
