Sin Nombre

The journeyfrom Central America is made by thousands – sinnombre, no names, just an endless stream of humanity looking for a betterlife, or in Willy’s case, an escape from a Honduran gang whose commitment tobrutality is absolute. Riding on top of a train heading north, he meets Sayra,who is escaping from the restrictions of family life.  Each finds something in the other that is missing inthemselves, but they are also both carrying their history and all the dangersthat accompany that. It’s an impressive debut by Cary Fukunaga, who spent along time researching Honduran gangs and the refugees heading for the promisedland.  PR
