A Los Angeles hospital, 1915. Roy is a broken man. After a fall from a horse during a movie stunt sequence and the loss of his beloved to the film's leading man, he languishes helplessly in his bed, desperate for revenge or self-annihilation. He befriends fellow patient Alexandria, a five year-old captivated by his increasingly complex tales, until she's completely hooked on the next instalment. As Roy struggles with mounting depression, the stories become darker and darker, implicating both storyteller and listener in a dangerous game. A stunning visual treat, likened to what might have resulted if ‘...Tarkovsky had made The Wizard of Oz' (David Fincher - Se7en). The Fall introduces Catinca Untaru as one of the most talented child actresses of recent years. CB
