There are several reasons to see this film. 1. It’s one of the greatest films of all time, so you can either see it for the first time, or for the umpteenth. 2. We are showing a preview of the completely restored Technicolor print, which so wowed the audience at Cannes this year and which took seven years to achieve, offering levels of colour never seen before. 3. It will be introduced by Thelma Schoonmaker, who was married to Michael Powell, and has edited all of Scorsese’s films for the last 20 years. She has presided over the restoration and probably knows as much about the film as anyone alive. An unmissable evening. PR
BFF Patron Thelma Schoonmaker will be our guest of honour at this gala event and will take audience questions following the screening.
