Viva Zapatero!

Sabina Guzzanti, the ‘Rory Bremner of Italy’, made herself very unpopular with the powers that be in Italy with her satirical TV show in which she mercilessly exposed the corruption of Berlusconi and crew. The RAI TV show was pulled after one episode, but not before that one transmission and this film had made her the heroine of all long-suffering ordinary Italians. Viva Zapatero! is hilarious, received a 20-minute standing ovation at last year’s Venice Film Festival and features such giants of Italian satirical comedy as Dario Fo and Beppe Grillo, as well as a satirical Englishman in none other than Rory Bremner himself!
