Westside Design

Westside Design, founded in 1983 by Michael McHugh, reaches its 28th birthday this year.

The company’s solid reputation for designing and hand making both fitted and freestanding furniture comes in equal parts from its friendly and personal design-and-making service and its high quality of design and product.

Clients, including public and commercial organisations through to private customers, demonstrate their high degree of satisfaction by returning to Westside again and again.

The Lansdown Road based company has a history of collaboration with Bath-based craftsmen, designers and architects including Feilden Clegg Bradley, Northbank Design, Designscape, The Evans Partnership, and Julian Brown of Studio Brown.

Bath contracts have included The Holburne Museum, The Costume Museum, and The Bath at Work Museum while further afield Westside has created a range of furniture for many institutions including the Carmelite Priory, Kensington, The De La Warr Pavilion, Bexhill and Serle Court in Lincoln's Inn.
